Welcome
As exempt organizations continue to grow and evolve, the demands
placed on the tax, finance and other compliance functions have
become increasingly complex. Coordinating the preparation of tax
returns can at times seem like a year-round endeavor, and yet tax
departments are also called upon to interact with the IRS and other
taxing authorities; analyze tax risk and provide management advice
on mitigation strategies; implement new tax regulations such as
those associated with section 501(r) and the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act;
and interact with many other internal functions, including treasury,
legal, and human resources.
A tax leader in today's environment needs to have a strong
understanding of exempt organization tax technical concepts and must
also be knowledgeable about other areas such as employment tax,
international tax, state and local tax, tax-exempt bonds, and many
others.
The EY Exempt Organization Tax Services Future Tax Leaders
(FTL) Program
is intended to help exempt organizations develop the tax skills of
high-potential professionals who will one day provide the next
generation of leadership in their organizations. In doing so, EY
achieves its objective of "building a better working world".
