Welcome

As tax-exempt organizations continue to grow and evolve, the demands on tax, finance and other compliance functions have become increasingly complex. Tax departments are called upon not only to prepare tax returns but also to interact with the IRS and other taxing authorities; analyze tax risk and provide management advice on mitigation strategies; implement new tax regulations; and interact with many other internal functions, including treasury, legal and human resources.

A tax leader in this environment needs to have a strong understanding of exempt organization tax technical concepts but also must be knowledgeable about other areas, such as employment tax, international tax, state and local tax, tax-exempt bonds and many others. At the same time, they must monitor fast-moving legislative and regulatory developments.

The Ernst & Young LLP (EY US) Exempt Organization Tax Services Future Tax Leaders (FTL) Program is intended to help organizations develop high-potential professionals who will one day provide the next generation of tax leadership within their organizations.
